Grant Application - Argos: zcashd Emergency Recovery Phrase Support
Crackdevs requests a $10,000 Zcash Community Grant to turn an existing MVP into a rigorously validated, upstream-ready recovery feature in Argos. The feature lets users recover legacy Sapling and phrase-derived transparent funds from a zcashd emergency recovery phrase without the original wallet.dat. Work includes historical compatibility validation, funded recovery tests on regtest, documentation, and submitting a focused upstream pull request, with Argos maintainers open to review.
